Love, Jessica Handmade Invitations

Karyn and Tyler are my first 2012 couple and my very first January wedding (ever)!

I met with Karyn and Tyler at the end of last summer, Tyler was just back from deployment. They were an adorable couple, obviously in love and excited about planning their winter wedding. They decided a square silver pocket with merlot and deep purple accents. A couple of rhinestones were added for a touch of winter sparkle.

Summer may be wedding season, but I am loving couples like Karyn and Tyler who are willing to step out of the box. Winter weddings offer great benefits: discounted venue rates, wedding professional are often not as busy and can offer more attention, and just think of all of the awesome color combinations and decor ideas!

Best wishes to Karyn and Tyler on a wonderful winter (maybe white?) wedding day!

Congrats to Alison and Milorad! They were married in early December at the Capitol in Harrisburg.

Alison had a vision of a winter day for their wedding. She wanted to use shades of blue and purple with lots of sparkle. She chose a 5 x 7 panel style invitation. The invitation was printed on bright white and layered on metallic Sapphire and Lavender. A silver ribbon wrapped around the back of the invitation to hold the inserts into place. Of course, lot's of rhinestones were also added.

A number of reception pieces were created to carry the theme through the wedding, including menus, favor cards, and table names. I even created a sparkly dog tag for a life-size floral replica of "Lucy", their dog, that welcomed guests into the reception.

Alison was such a sweet bride, she thoroughly seemed to enjoy wedding planning and had so many personal details incorporated into the wedding. She informed me that guests were calling to r.s.v.p. because they wanted to keep the whole invitation as a keepsake!

My very best wishes to the newlyweds!
