Finally, at 31 years old, I made my first turkey and hosted Thanksgiving dinner for my small side of the family. I am proud to say it was a delicious success! I wanted to share a few images from the day.
Of course, I was most excited about decorating, setting my table and making some cute place cards. I even got fancy and bought some cloth napkins.
I am pretty frugal, so I always look for ways to do things on the cheap without sacrificing style. My chargers are from the Dollar Tree. I found the glasses ($2 ea), napkins ($4 / 8) and gold candles ($2 / 4) and glitter runner ($4) at the Christmas Tree Shop. Everything else I already had.
Also, just a side note, my chandelier was a yard sale find ($3), my husband spray painted and hung the crystal beads. One of my best finds ever -- and it looked so pretty with the gold candlesticks.

And my favorite moment of the day....Mr. Ace thought he had died and gone to heaven when I pulled the turkey out of the oven :) Yes, he did get his own plate.
